Services

ACCI will carry on various domestic and international operations, with particular, immediate emphasis in African-American, African and Caribbean communities. To effectuate its domestic and international agenda, the organization is structured to operate like a non-governmental institution, with several committees and departments to carry out its aims and objectives.

Through these observer status privileges and international associations, the African Chamber of Commerce & Industry will be availed many opportunities and will derive many benefits, including financial, business and solidarity support, as well as other bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The specific purpose of the (ACCI) are: 
(1) to reconnect African-American and the African Diaspora with their ancestral homeland (Africa) through economic, educational, cultural, solidarity, science and technological cooperation, and 
(2) to advocate, support and undertake projects, programs activities which will improve the socio-economic and educational well-being of African-Americans, African and all people of African descent throughout the Diaspora. 

With these purposes, African Chamber of Commerce & Industry hopes to and, will strive for and is determined to accomplish the following objectives:
1) Restore the historical and cultural bond between African-Americans with their brothers and sisters in Africa, which was abridged and degraded by institutional slavery:
2) Establish a strong economic link between Africans in the Caribbean Islands, as elsewhere in the Diaspora, and those on the Continent of Africa;
3) Increase the rate of African-Americans’ participation in the economic and educational opportunities of the United States and other parts of the developed world;
4) Reduce the level of African-American youth’s involvement in gangs, drug abuse and other anti-social activities;
5) Reduce the level of illiteracy that usually causes ignorance, poverty, civil unrest, disease and conflicts which have invaded and degenerated the Continent and people of African descent everywhere;
6) Increase the level of African-Americans’ understanding of the business, investment and property opportunities which awaits their exploration in Africa;
7) Increase the rate of African-Americans professionals; i.e. medical, engineers, urban planners, dentists, scientists, educators, technocrats and the like; involved in designing and implementing programs and projects which will address the socio-economic, educational, political and technological problems of the African Continent.

To accomplish these objectives the organization will initiate specific programs, projects and activities will constitute its implementation plan and strategies, which the next section addresses.
